A large variety of occupations fall under the realm of design jobs. In fact the word design is very broad and can be described in many careers. The term itself means to construct either an item or system with the use of different components. This can include industries such as mechanical, artistic or technological. In the world of technology, many careers have the term design in their titles. This can include graphic design, computer design or web design to name a few examples.

All of these occupations require some form of education. That is primarily because they command a certain amount of knowledge and technique in order to invent an item or system. An individual who works in this occupation also needs to possess specific traits in order to be successful. One main talent will include the ability to pay close attention to small details. Every designer will need to keep track of each piece of data when creating an item, no matter how big or small it is. They will also need to understand exactly how the component will contribute to the overall piece they are constructing. If one item is missed, their creation may not work properly. Another trait that a designer usually contains is the ability to work alone. They will have the freedom and confidence to “think outside of the box” to create the best item for their industry.
